The Embassy of Ethiopia in Brasília is looking for a proactive team player to fill the vacant post
of Secretary at the Embassy.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Maintaining the Head of Mission’s schedule, booking meetings and appointments, and
prioritizing daily tasks and responsibilities.
Answer all inquiries from visitors and be able to provide basic and accurate information
(about Ethiopia Embassy and its services) in-person and via phone/email.
Provide support in the consular activities of the Embassy, particularly making sure visa
forms are filled correctly and requirements for Consular services are fulfilled.
Handle the Embassy’s correspondence, including mail, emails and telephone; translate t
English/Portuguese when necessary.
Keeping up-to-date contact details (i.e. names, addresses and telephone numbers).
Schedule meetings, appointments and maintain a calendar of events and event listings.
Arrange travel and accommodations and prepare schedules. This can include making airline reservations, booking hotel rooms and arranging transports.
Perform other clerical secretarial duties such as typing, filing and photocopying.
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, stocked with all necessary stationery (e.g. pens, forms and brochures).
Perform other related duties as required.
Competence and qualifications:
Undergraduate degree (secretarial science, office management and related fields);
Excellent ability to communicate, both oral and written English and Portuguese;
Fluency in Spanish is considered as an asset;
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an international setting;
A high sense of responsibility and flexibility, as well as an ability to work under a fastpaced environment.
Copy of Undergraduate Degree;
